	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). Lentor (TE5) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Thomson–East Coast Line.

History

Construction accident

On 1 March 2018, a 48 year old construction worker fell from a raised working platform 2.5m above the ground, while working in a tunnel connecting to Lentor station. The accident happened at 3.35am, and the worker was employed to dismantle components of tunnel boring machines, following the completion of tunnelling works. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 4.30am. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said the chamber, which was being lowered using chain blocks, suddenly swung and hit the platform that one of the workers was standing on, causing him to fall from it.

  Thomson–East Coast Line: Interlude for Lentor by Tan Guo-Liang
  ‘Interlude for Lentor’ takes its inspiration from the area around the station, and in particular, Teachers’ Estate where the roads are named after famous poets and philosophers. Inspired by the meaning and the location, the artist created a visual score that resembles musical notations and calligraphic scripts.
