SBS Transit City Direct Service 668 provides residents of Yio Chu Kang (Ang Mo Kio subzone) and Ang Mo Kio, who rely on the rail network and feeder buses, with a direct travel alternative to the Central Business District (CBD). This service incorporates an express sector between Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Central Business District via Central Expressway (CTE), Outram Road, and Cantonment Road.

This service is the 59^th bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).

Evening peak-hour departures will be brought forward to the afternoon on the eves of Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year. Revised timing will be announced closer to the respective dates by the operator.
