SBS Transit Bus Service 71 is an inter-town bus route between Ang Mo Kio and Bishan. It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Ang Mo Kio Neighbourhoods 1, 2, 3 and 6, and Bishan Neighbourhood 1 to Yio Chu Kang, Mayflower, Bishan and Bishan Town Centre.

This service is the 80^th bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).^[1]

On weekdays, Short-Trip Service 71A supplements the residential demand along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and Bishan Street 11 during the morning peak period.
