	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train Services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. There will be no train service between Tampines station and Tanah Merah station with Simei station being closed. This is to prepare for the opening of the new East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) in 2026, LTA and SMRT will be undertaking a series of works to facilitate the connection of tracks from the existing East–West Line to the ECID. From Monday, 25 November 2024, City Direct Service 674 will be introduced from Tengah Drive to the Central Business District (CBD), operating during morning and evening peak hours. Please refer here for more information. From Monday, 25 November 2024, City Direct Service 666 will be extended to Bayfront Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Temasek Boulevard and Raffles Boulevard. From Sunday, 1 December 2024, Compassvale Bus Interchange will close following the opening of Buangkok Bus Interchange. Stevens (DT10/TE11) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown Line and the Thomson–East Coast Line.

Unpaid Transfers

As the paid areas between Downtown Line platforms were initially not connected at this station, commuters would be charged if they tapped out of the station platform if they entered the wrong platform. Passengers would need to travel to either Botanic Gardens or Newton to change direction as the two platforms are connected within each other. After public concerns, the Land Transport Authority announced on 31 December 2015 that there would be a 10-minute grace period for commuters to tap out and tap in again and not be charged if they entered the wrong platform. With the opening of the new underpass on 23 November 2019, the paid areas of both platforms are finally connected and the grace period has been removed.

  As a nod to the nature and history in the Stevens and Bukit Timah area surrounding the station, this work highlights manually stamped patterns of the foliage, seeds and fruits of nutmeg and rubber trees. These crops occupied the area back in the 19th century.
