  • Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Free rides are available between those stations on Friday, 21 June 2024. Please refer here for more information.

  • To facilitate testing on new trains, from 22 March 2024 to 30 June 2024, train service on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end earlier at 10.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please refer here for more information.

  • From Monday, 18 March 2024, supplementary bus service
    983M
    will be introduced, plying from Choa Chu Kang Road and terminating at Teck Whye Crescent (B/S 44969 (Aft Teck Whye Walk)). This service operates only on weekday mornings, except school and public holidays.

Kim Chuan Depot is the sixth train depot in Singapore. It maintains trains for the Circle Line and the Downtown Line.

History[edit]

Date Event
28 May 2009 Depot officially opens
22 December 2013 Depot temporary served Downtown Line.
27 December 2015 Depot ceased serving Downtown Line.
21 October 2017 Depot Expansion (Tai Seng Maintenance Facility) opened to serve Downtown Line.

Reception Tracks[edit]

On the Circle Line, it has 4 reception tracks, 2 that lead to Tai Seng station and 2 to Bartley station.

On the Downtown Line, it has 2 reception tracks, 1 that lead to Ubi station and 1 to Bedok North station.
