Tanah Merah (EW4/CG) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East–West Line. The station is the only interchange station not to be part of two or more lines, due to it being an interchange between the main line and its extension. It was built by Wah Chang International Corporation and Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co Ltd Joint Venture under Contract 305.[1]

Similar to other stations on the eastern section of the East–West Line, the station's design consists of white-washed walls and a dome-shaped ceiling, with a glass roof running along the middle of the station.
