The''' Mandai Depot''' is a full maintenance [[Mass Rapid Transit|MRT]] depot for the upcoming [[Thomson East Coast Line]].
==Reception Tracks==
 
On the Thomson–East Coast Line, it has 3 reception tracks, 2 that lead to {{Stn|Springleaf| station}} and 1 to {{Stn|Woodlands| station}}.
Located at a 32-hectare site <sup>[http://www.onemap.sg/?SearchVal=WOODLANDS%20AVENUE%2012&LW:Y&wO5d:JIabq_R,hhJhh_R,Jhhha_J,hhcaR_J,c (1)]</sup> bounded by Mandai Road, Seletar Expressway and Lor Lada Hitam, it is within the Mandai Agrotechnology Park.<sup>[http://orchidville.com/about_us.php (2)]</sup> and has the capacity to stable up to 90 trains.<sup>[http://www.lta.gov.sg/images/TSL%20Annex-A%2016-06-2011.pdf (3)]</sup>
 
First announced by LTA on 16 June 2011, construction of the depot would commence at the end of 2012 and is expected to be an underground depot - the third in Singapore. Construction is expected to be completed in the year 2019. As a result of the construction, the farm 'Orchidville' that previously occupied the site was acquired.<sup>[http://app.lta.gov.sg/corp_press_content.asp?start=2g8u06wb5lpg487lobzx9o7n1sfszjo7137e2b82kqgbb1lbm6 (4)]</sup> Prior to the acquiration, Orchidville was the largest orchid farm in Singapore.
 
It will serve the upcoming [[Thomson East Coast Line]] as the Operation Control Centre and provide stabling and maintenance facilities for the line's rolling stock.

SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network.
