	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Bus Service 5 is an inter-town route connecting the East and Bukit Merah through the Central areas of Orchard and Novena. The route serves residential estates around Pasir Ris, Flora Drive, Upper Changi, Simei, Bedok Reservoir, Tiong Bahru and Bukit Merah with connections to the City areas of Havelock, Paterson and Novena. The route plies an express sector along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) between Bedok Reservoir and Novena district, offering improved express connections between these areas.

Short-Trip Bus Service 5A operates only on Weekdays (except Public Holidays) and it supplements weekday peak hour demand for Service 5 from housing estates at Mariam Way & Flora Drive to Upper Changi MRT Station.

Short-Trip Bus Service 5B operates only on Weekdays (except Public Holidays) and it supplements weekday evening peak hour demand for Service 5 from Simei & Upper Changi MRT Stations to housing estates at Flora Drive & Mariam Way.
