	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Bus Service 167 is a trunk route which links Sembawang and Chong Pang to places in the city centre, including Orchard, Dhoby Ghaut, and the Central Buisness District. It also serves the Bukit Merah area. This route contains long sectors along Sembawang, Upper Thomson, and Thomson Road.

On 17 November 2023, LTA announced that this service would be discontinued as part of the Thomson-East Coast Line Bus Rationalisation on 10 December 2023. However, due to the objections of many commuters, LTA reversed its decision to withdraw this service, instead reducing it to a 30-minute frequency.
