SBS Transit SMRT Trains Tower Transit Go-Ahead

SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SBS Transit
  • From Sunday, 26 January 2025, two bus stops along Thomson Road will be merged and relocated to facilitate works for the North South Corridor. As a result, bus services 132 and 156 will call at the bus stop in front of Singapore Polo Club (51031) instead of bus stop after Mount Pleasant Road (51023). Please refer here for more information.

SBS Transit
  • From Sunday, 26 January 2025, the route of feeder service 230 will be extended to start and end at Toa Payoh Link (Caldecott station) to enhance connectivity for Toa Payoh East residents. As a result, it will no longer stop at Toa Payoh Interchange. Please refer here for more information.

Thomson–East Coast Line (TEL) is the sixth Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line. Traveling from one end to the other takes about 49 minutes. The line is currently 29.3 km long with 20 stations and it is fully underground and automated. When completed in 2025, the line will be 43 km long with 31 stations.

The rolling stock consists of Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang T251 trains. These trains operate from Mandai Depot near Woodlands South station, and will operate from East Coast Integrated Depot near Sungei Bedok station.
