Artworks[edit]

  • NE5-The Reflection.png
North East Line: The Reflections by Chua Ek Kay
This work presents the theme of reflections in two ways: through a 60-metre mural that depicts life on the Singapore River and an acid-etched brass panel that calls to mind the sight of light glinting off a water surface. Both pieces celebrate the energy and life that surrounds the river through which the station runs. These artworks are also accompanied by floor tiles of the painted eyes found on tongkangs or Chinese junks which help guide commuters through the station.[1]
