Bus Service 174e

	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Please refer here for more information. Train services will be extended on the eve of Good Friday, 17 April 2025 (Thursday), and on the eve of Labour Day, 30 April 2025 (Wednesday). Selected bus services will have their operating hours extended to coincide with the last train timing. With the route amendment, it will serve three additional bus stops along Bidadari Park Dr and one additional bus stop along Upper Serangoon Rd. bus service 148 will be introduced, operating from Woodleigh ITH and looping at Potong Pasir Ave 1, providing direct connections to the bus interchange and key amenities such as Woodleigh Mall, Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, schools in Woodleigh and Potong Pasir and the upcoming Bidadari Polyclinic. From Sunday, 27 April 2025, Pasir Ris Bus Interchange will be relocated to the new Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), which will be accessible via Pasir Ris Mall, Level 1. SBS Transit Express Service 174e is a peak-hour express route variant of bus service 174 connecting residential estates of Jurong West and Bukit Batok to Orchard and Outram areas while taking shortcuts and skipping bus stops along the Bukit Timah sector.

Despite charging express fares, Service 174e attracts significant loading for workers and students in Jurong West heading to Bukit Batok to reach their destinations, with several schools and Bukit Batok along its route. Similarly, this route also gives passengers time savings between Bukit Batok and Orchard, with bus captains taking the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) from Napier Rd to Beauty World during evening peak hours.

On the eves of Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year, evening peak-hour departures will be brought forward to the afternoon. Revised timing will be announced by the operator closer to the respective dates.
