	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. With the route amendment, it will serve three additional bus stops along Bidadari Park Dr and one additional bus stop along Upper Serangoon Rd. bus service 148 will be introduced, operating from Woodleigh ITH and looping at Potong Pasir Ave 1, providing direct connections to the bus interchange and key amenities such as Woodleigh Mall, Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, schools in Woodleigh and Potong Pasir and the upcoming Bidadari Polyclinic. SBS Transit Bus Service 174 is an inter-town service directly connecting the town centres of Jurong West, Bukit Batok, as well as residential estates along Bukit Timah Road and Farrer Road to the central areas of Orchard, City Hall and Outram.

This service has a more direct route with special service coverage between Bukit Batok, Bukit Timah, Farrer Road, Napier, as well as the shopping areas along Tanglin Road and in Orchard. In addition, it passes by several key schools and institutions in Bukit Timah and Bukit Batok alongside Service 157. As a result, it has been met with high demand by both residents and students commuting to nearby town centres, schools and shopping amenities throughout the day.

Service 174 is also unique for being the only service to ply a different section in Outram via Chin Swee Road, providing basic bus services to residents to access nearby Chinatown, Outram Park and Singapore General Hospital. Historically, it was the remaining service to ply the now-defunct stretch of the historically known Jurong Road, before the service was amended away in 2020 due to the permanent closure of the road to facilitate new residential developments in Tengah.

During weekday peak hours, a unidirectional express variant, Express 174e provides a faster, limited-stop commute, skipping bus stops in Bukit Timah.
