Alstom Metropolis C830C are the second generation of trains running on the Circle Line. These trains were manufactured from 2014 to 2015 by Alstom Transport under the Contract 830C.
History[edit]
Alstom Transport was awarded Contract C830C in 2012 at a cost of $134 million for the construction of 72 passenger cars.[1]
Faulty Equipment[edit]
Passenger Vehicle 46 suffered from a faulty signalling hardware, resulting in intermittent signaling issues which caused widespread disruptions to the Circle Line for a week in both August and November 2016.[2]

Fleet Numbering[edit]
The car numbers of the trains range from 841x to 864x, where x depends on the carriage type.
- The last digit identifies the position of the car from the front end of the train; where ‘1’ represents first car, ‘2’ represents second car and ‘3’ represents third car.
- (Example) Passenger Vehicle 50 (also 850) would consist of 3 cars with serial number 8501, 8502, 8503 respectively.
- Depending on the direction of travel, the sequence may be reversed.
