Tuas Link (EW33) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East–West Line. As neither the tracks can be built higher nor the concourse be built on the ground level, the concourse level has to be built on a higher level than the platforms, making it the first elevated station to have such an arrangement.[1]

Preliminary findings revealed that the workers were in the process of lowering a rebar cage when it got dislodged from its lifting chains and dragged the 30-year-old worker into a 1.5m wide bore hole.[5]
