Artworks

East–West Line: Bedok by Students from ASPN Katong School (Jaren Gatbonton Sia, Muhammad Rahmat, Nisa Sabrina, Shirin and Vanessa Gabrielle Teo)
The mural captures the heritage and community spirit of Bedok by featuring seven notable landmarks. It highlights the natural beauty of Bedok Reservoir, the historic Sea Fig Heritage Tree, the old seawalls along Marine Parade Road, Bedok Town Square, as well as landmarks such as Simpang Bedok and the NEWater Visitor Centre. Notable historical figures, including Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein, who visited Frankel Estate, and contractor Woo Mon Chew, are also commemorated. Through its vibrant depiction of nature, history, and community, the mural offers a snapshot of Bedok’s transformation from plantations and coastal villages to modern urban life.[1][2]
