	Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. From Monday, 27 May 2024, Express service 43e will call at additional bus stops along Buangkok Drive and Airport Road to better serve commuters’ travel needs. Downtown Line (DTL) is the fifth Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line. Traveling from one end to the other will takes about 70 minutes. The line will be 42.8 km long with 36 stations when completed and it is fully underground and automated.

Rolling stock

The rolling stock consists of Bombardier MOVIA C951 trains. These trains operate from two depots along the line, Gali Batu Depot near Bukit Panjang station and Kim Chuan Depot near Ubi station.
