Feeder Service 944 was a feeder service from Bukit Batok Bus Interchange to Bukit Batok Road, mainly serving new residential estates northwest of Bukit Batok with direct links to Bukit Batok MRT Station, as well as other amenities along the route. It was the fourth feeder bus service originating from Bukit Batok, alongside Services 941, 945 and 947, and commenced operations on Sunday, 27 August 2017.
It is the 76th bus service to benefit from the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) (90th bus service introduced under the programme).
Feeder Service 944 was renumbered to Trunk Bus Service 992 with the extension of its route to loop at Plantation Crescent in Tengah New Town on 24 September 2023.
