Tower Transit Bus Service 49 is an inter-town service linking the residential estates of Jurong East, Taman Jurong (Jurong West subzone), and Hong Kah (Jurong West subzone).

This service is the 16^th bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). It is also the 49^th bus service introduced under the programme, as a route extension from Taman Jurong Terminal to Jurong East Interchange.
