SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Marsiling (NS8) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North–South Line in Woodgrove. It was built by Hyundai Engineering and Koon Construction and Transport Co Joint Venture under Contract 603. The colour scheme used for the station is red.

A privacy screen was installed along the tracks on the Marina South Pier-bound side of the station to enhance residents’ privacy, due to the proximity to nearby apartment blocks.

Constructions

Contract 6031 consists of viaducts between Yishun and Kranji stations, as well as Sembawang, Admiralty, Woodlands, and Marsiling stations, was awarded to Hyundai Engineering and Koon Construction and Transport Co Joint Venture in December 1992 for a sum of $233.1 million.[3]

Notes:

1: The contract number is an estimate based on a statement made by a LinkedIn user in their work experience section, which reads: ‘Contract 618 Woodlands Station, supervising C603 viaduct construction… for Woodlands, Marsiling, Admiralty and Sembawang stations.’.
