SMRT Trains
  • From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SMRT Trains
  • From 15 June 2025 to 30 July 2025, Train services on the Circle Line will end earlier at 11pm on Sundays, Mondays to Wednesday. This is to facilitate the integration for the CCL6. There is no bridging bus service provided. Please refer here for more information.

Go-Ahead SBS Transit
  • From Sunday, 29 June 2025, with the opening of Punggol Coast Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), bus services 34, 117 & 117M will be extended to commence operations from the interchange. Please refer here for more information.

SMRT Buses
  • From Saturday, 18 October 2025, with the realignment of Lim Chu Kang Road, bus service 405 will be amended to skip Lim Chu Kang Road. Please refer here for more information.

History

Date Event
December 1992 Contract 6031 consists of viaducts between Yishun and Kranji stations, as well as Sembawang, Admiralty, Woodlands, and Marsiling stations, was awarded to Hyundai Engineering and Koon Construction and Transport Co Joint Venture in December 1992 for a sum of $233.1 million.[1]
10 February 1996 Station officially opened[2]

31 January 2012 Retrofitted with Half-Height Platform Screen Door at NSL platform
9 November 2012 Retrofitted with High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) Blade Fan at NSL platform
18 - 20 May 2019 Station closed due to the construction of Canberra station.[3]

1: The contract number is an estimate based on a statement made by a LinkedIn user in their work experience section, which reads: ‘Contract 618 Woodlands Station, supervising C603 viaduct construction… for Woodlands, Marsiling, Admiralty and Sembawang stations.’.
