!	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). Tower Transit Bus Service 861 is an inter-town route linking the residential estates of Sembawang and Yishun. It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Sembawang Neighbourhoods 1 and 5, Yishun Neighbourhoods 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 to Canberra, Khatib, and Sembawang stations, and Sembawang Town Centre. It complements Service 883 in Sembawang East and provides a faster connection from Sembawang Interchange via Canberra Road.

This service calls at Bus Stop 58621 – Blk 126 CP along Canberra Street in both directions, i.e. towards Yishun Ring Road and towards Sembawang Interchange. Commuters should check the destination on the Electronic Display Signage (EDS) before boarding.

This service is the 1^st bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).

Short-Trip Service 861A operates after the final departure of Service 861 from Sembawang Interchange, terminating at Khatib station instead of looping back to Sembawang Interchange.

Short-Trip Service 861B supplements the residential demand from Yishun East and Northland to Canberra station, operating during weekday morning peak hours.
