It is the 61^st bus service to benefit from the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) (73^rd bus service introduced under the programme).

With its introduction, Service 150 serves as a convenient doorstep alternative for residents in both residential estates to access EW7Eunos with shorter walking distances, as existing services only provide unidirectional connections or require longer walking distances.
