It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Woodlands Neighbourhood 7 in the east loop, and Woodlands Neighbourhood 1 in the west loop to Woodlands Regional Centre.
Formerly known as Intra-Town Service 913, the Intra-Town branding was discontinued in August 2018 as part of a standardisation exercise by the Land Transport Authority. The terminating trips of Service 913 were also renumbered from 913E to 913T during this period.
The east loop of the route shares the same route as bus service 964, providing connectivity to residents in Woodlands Neighbourhood 7. This service, however, provides extended coverage during service 964’s non-operational periods.
The west loop of the route previously served Woodlands Train Checkpoint before being amended in March 2019 to loop at NS8Marsiling. This change was implemented to provide residents in Woodlands Neighbourhood 1 with improved connectivity to Marsiling station, and to alleviate congestion around Woodlands Centre Road. However, the amendment removed direct connectivity for travelers using the Singapore-Johor Causeway to Woodlands Regional Centre, leaving feeder service 911 as the remaining faster alternative.
On the eves of public holidays, operating hours are extended to align with the last train at NS9TE2Woodlands. Revised timing will be announced by the operator closer to the respective dates.
