SMRT Buses Bus Service 187 is an inter-town bus route directly linking the residential estates of Woodlands, Bukit Panjang, Bukit Batok, Jurong East, and Jurong West. It incorporates a non-stop sector on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) between Marsiling station and Bangkit. This service also complements Services 98 and 98M between Jurong East Avenue 1 and Lakeside station.

It is one of four bidirectional bus services operating from Boon Lay Interchange with a last bus trip in the midnight hours, the other 3 services being 30, 154 and 157.
