SBS Transit Bus Service 154 is an inter-town bus route that connects the residential estates of Jurong West, Clementi, Bukit Timah, MacPherson and Eunos. Demand for this service is moderate during off-peak hours. However, it has been met with high demand during weekday school peak hours and school dismissal hours as it passes by several key schools and institutions along Bukit Timah Road and Clementi Road alongside Service 151, with a sizable number of split shift buses deployed to cater to students commuting to and from residential estates or MRT stations.

Service 154 is one of four bidirectional bus services operating from Boon Lay Interchange with a last bus trip in the midnight hours, the other 3 services being 30, 157 and 187.
