SBS Transit Bus Service 5 serves as an inter-town route between Pasir Ris and Bukit Merah, linking Upper Changi, Simei, Bedok Reservoir and Tiong Bahru to city areas of Novena and Havelock via the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).

Short-Trip Bus Services 5A & 5B supplement the weekday peak hour demand between the private estates of Flora Drive and Mariam Way to nearby MRT stations.
