	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SBS Transit Bus Service 400 is a leisure route within the Central Area, connecting major landmarks such as the Gardens by the Bay, Marina Barrage, Marina South Pier, and Marina Bay Cruise Centre to nearby MRT stations located in the Downtown Core, Straits View, and Marina South areas. This service, alongside Services 401 and 403, was initially classified as a Parks service in 2005. However, in 2009, the classification was dropped for all three services and was reverted back to trunk services.

Between late 2018 and mid-2019, Service 400 operated at 40-minute intervals during selected hours on weekdays as part of the On-Demand Public Buses (ODPB) trial conducted by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). Double-decker buses were formerly deployed on this service on weekends and public holidays between June 2019 and May 2024.

Coming mid-2026, Service 400 will commence a three-year autonomous bus trial under an initiative led by the LTA.
