	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Choa Chu Kang (NS4/JS1/BP1) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North–South Line and the future Jurong Region Line and a Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on the Bukit Panjang LRT.

2008 incident

On 7 April 2008, a man was hit by a train at Choa Chu Kang station at 8am. this resulted in the disruption of northbound train services from Yew Tee to Bukit Gombak for about 50 minutes. He was subsequently pronounced dead by paramedics. A bus-bridging service was deployed between the affected stations.

New LRT platforms

On 31 October 2012, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that the LRT station will have two more platforms, specifically for commuters to exit the trains to allow the existing platform in the centre to have more space to cater to boarding passengers. There will also be additional fare gates and a new covered linkway from the LRT station to Lot One. These new additions which also include widening the staircase between the MRT and the LRT stations will be completed by 2016.
