	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Please refer here for more information. From 15 June 2025 to 30 July 2025, Train services on the Circle Line will end earlier at 11pm on Sundays, Mondays to Wednesday. SMRT Buses Express Bus Service 188e is a unidirectional express variant of Service 188 that connects the residential estates of Bukit Batok and Toh Guan to the industrial sectors of Pasir Panjang.

It skips selected stops along its parent route while incorporating non-stop sectors along Jurong East Street 11, Jurong Town Hall Road, and West Coast Highway.

Formerly known as Express Service 188E, it was renumbered to a lowercase ‘e’ in August 2018 as part of a standardisation exercise by the Land Transport Authority.
