SBS Transit Bus Service 170 is a cross-border route linking Rochor, Bukit Timah, Kranji and Woodlands Centre to Larkin Terminal in Johor Bahru.

It were initially identified by coloured destination plates, red for this service and blue for the variant now known as 170X as both service operated under the same service number '170'. With the introduction of newer buses equipped with electronic displays, the need for colour-coded plates was removed, and the blue-plate variant was progressively rebranded as Service 170X, with the ‘X’ suffix displayed digitally.

This service serves Woodlands Centre Road in both directions (towards Larkin Terminal and towards Queen Street Terminal). Commuters are to check the Electronic Display Signage (EDS) or Complimentary Destination Signage Plates on the bus before boarding.
