	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SBS Transit Bus Service 139 is an inter-town service linking the residential estates of Toa Payoh, Whampoa, and Bukit Merah, passing through the city areas of Rochor and River Valley.

This service functions as a "feeder" route in residential neighbourhoods, offering convenient links between Whampoa estate and Toa Payoh Town Centre, and between Lengkok Bahru and Bukit Merah Town Centre. It gives residents in both areas doorstep access and reduces walking distances. Additionally, it enhances connectivity in the city, linking up shopping, leisure, and entertainment spots such as Little India, Bencoolen, Dhoby Ghaut, Fort Canning Park, and River Valley.

This service calls at the same bus stop(s) along Jalan Bahagia in both directions (towards Bukit Merah Interchange and Toa Payoh Interchange). Commuters should check the Electronic Display Signage (EDS) or Destination Plate displayed before boarding.
