SBS Transit City Direct Service 676 provides residents of Hougang and Upper Serangoon, who rely on the rail network and feeder buses, with a direct travel alternative to the Central Business District (CBD). This service incorporates an express sector between Upper Serangoon Road and Central Business District via Central Expressway (CTE) and Cantonment Road.

It benefit from the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP) (7^th bus service introduced), and the 27^th peak-hour unidirectional city direct bus service introduced.

Evening peak-hour departures will be brought forward to the afternoon on the eves of Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year. Revised timing will be announced closer to the respective dates by the operator.
