SBS Transit Bus Service 114 is a short inter-town route linking the residential estates of Compassvale (Sengkang) and Trafalgar (Hougang). It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Hougang Neighbourhood 9 to Buangkok station.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) initially proposed extending Service 101 to Buangkok station, which would have bypassed Buangkok Link. However, this plan was later withdrawn with the introduction of Service 114 in October 2020, providing Buangkok Link and Buangkok Crescent residents direct connectivity to Buangkok station. As a result, the route of Service 101 remained unchanged.^[1]

On the eve of public holidays, Short-Trip Service 114A operates after the final departure of Service 114, providing last-mile connectivity for Buangkok Link and Buangkok Crescent residents travelling from Buangkok Interchange.

Operating hours are extended on the eves of public holidays to align with the last train at Buangkok station. Revised timing will be announced closer to the respective dates by the operator.
