SBS Transit Bus Service 45 is a inter-town route connecting the residential towns of Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Lor Ah Soo, Ubi and Bedok North.

This service experiences high demand for Service 45 from residential estates and schools along Lorong Ah Soo, connecting residents and students to NE12CC13Serangoon station along the North East Line and Circle Line. It is also popular among industrial workers as a direct shortcut between Ubi and Bedok North, taking about 5 minutes along the express sector of Pan Island Expressway.

Bus Service 45 shares similarities in its terminating points and sectors with Bus Service 25 and Bus Service 55, all terminating at Upper East Coast Terminal, before intercepting at Ubi, and meeting again near the Chong Boon neighbourhood of Ang Mo Kio.
