	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SBS Transit Bus Service 196 is a inter-town route connecting residents of Clementi, Dover, Bukit Merah, Mountbatten and Marine Parade to the City areas of Outram Park, Shenton Way and Nicoll Highway. The route experiences high demand throughout the day owing to inter-town connections.

SBS Transit Short-Trip Bus Service 196A operates during Weekday Morning Peak hours and supplements the high demand for Service 196 prior to the opening of the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 in June 2024 from residential estates around Marine Parade and Mountbatten, connecting to the City areas of Suntec City, Raffles Place and Shenton Way.
