SMRT Buses Service 180 is a trunk route connecting Jurong West and Jurong East to Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang. It is the most direct route between the Jurong Region and Bukit Panjang, plying only the major roads of Boon Lay Way and Bukit Batok Rd, attracting huge passenger demand.

Service 180 has seen a surge in demand in the 2020s with the development of Tengah into a new town. Since then, efforts have been made to improve reliability by adding more buses and increasing the frequency of this service.

All Articulated buses are only deployed on Weekdays. All buses are deployed on a rotation basis. All buses park at Woodlands Bus Park (WLBP).
