	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train Services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. There will be no train service between Tampines station and Tanah Merah station with Simei station being closed. This is to prepare for the opening of the new East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) in 2026, LTA and SMRT will be undertaking a series of works to facilitate the connection of tracks from the existing East–West Line to the ECID. From Monday, 25 November 2024, City Direct Service 674 will be introduced from Tengah Drive to the Central Business District (CBD), operating during morning and evening peak hours. Please refer here for more information. From Monday, 25 November 2024, City Direct Service 666 will be extended to Bayfront Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Temasek Boulevard and Raffles Boulevard. From Sunday, 1 December 2024, Compassvale Bus Interchange will close following the opening of Buangkok Bus Interchange. Circle Line (CCL) is the fourth Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line. Traveling from one end to the other takes about 60 minutes. The line is currently 34.6 km long with 30 stations and it is fully underground and automated.

Nicoll Highway Collapse

On 20 April 2004 at 3.30pm, the construction site of the Nicoll Highway station collapsed. The collapse killed four people and injured three and caused the construction to be delayed for the Circle Line. As a result of the collapsed, the new Nicoll Highway station was shifted 100m away from the original site.

Circle Line Stage 6

On 17 January 2013, the Land Transport Authority announced Circle Line Stage 6 which will close the circle, running between Marina Bay and HarbourFront. It will be a 4 km extension with 3 stations.
