SBS Transit Bus Service 162 is an inter-town route linking the residential estates of Ang Mo Kio and Bishan and the industrial estate of Sin Ming. It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Ang Mo Kio Neighbourhoods 3 and 7, Bishan Neighbourhoods 2, 3 and 4 to Ang Mo Kio Town Centre, Bright Hill, Upper Thomson and Marymount. This service complements Service 52 & Feeder Service 410G/410W between Bishan Street 22 and Upper Thomson Road, and is the only other service serving Sin Ming Road alongside Service 130.
