SBS Transit Bus Service 71 is an inter-town bus route between Ang Mo Kio and Bishan. It connects residential blocks, schools, and public amenities in Ang Mo Kio Neighbourhoods 1, 2, 3, 6, and Bishan Neighbourhood 1 to NS15Yio Chu Kang, TE6Mayflower, NS17CC15Bishan and Bishan Town Centre.

It is the 80^th bus service to benefit from the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) (93^rd bus service introduced under the programme).^[1]
