	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. SBS Transit Express Feeder Service 298X is a peak hour limited-stop supplementary route variant of Feeder Service 298, offering quicker journeys for the residential areas of Tampines Neighbourhoods 6 and 8 to Tampines station and Tampines Town Centre. It skips selected stops along its parent route while incorporating non-stop sectors along Tampines Avenue 12, Tampines Concourse, Tampines Avenue 8, and Tampines Avenue 3, saving up to 4 minutes of travelling time compared to its parent route.

This service is the 5^th bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).

Evening peak-hour departures will be brought forward to the afternoon on the eves of Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year. Revised timing will be announced closer to the respective dates by the operator.
