	From 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). SBS Transit Bus Service 65 is a long-haul route that runs between Tampines and HarbourFront, passing through a diverse mix of residential neighborhoods and city areas. It provides vital connections for residents living near Bedok Reservoir, MacPherson, Bendemeer and Lower Delta, while also linking them to key urban districts such as Little India, Jalan Besar, Rochor, Bencoolen, Dhoby Ghaut, Orchard, and HarbourFront.

Even though parts of its route overlap with Downtown Line Stage 3, this service remains well-used. Many commuters appreciate the convenience of a direct ride without transfers, particularly for cross-town or town-to-city travel. It is also an important alternative for those heading to locations not directly accessible via the Downtown Line and serves as a reliable option when train services along that MRT stretch face disruptions.

Service 65 sees steady ridership throughout the day, with especially high demand during morning and evening peak periods. Office workers, students and leisure travelers alike use the service whether for short hops or longer journeys. Its route includes well-known retail and lifestyle districts like Orchard Road, Little India and HarbourFront, making it a favored choice for weekend outings as well.

Notably, Service 65 is one of four bus routes that operate to and from HarbourFront Interchange with final trips scheduled past midnight. The other three late-night services from the interchange are 80, 93 and 124.
