SBS Transit Bus Service 860 is an inter-town service linking the residential estates of Ang Mo Kio and Yishun, as well as the Tagore Industrial Estate. Within Yishun, much of its route overlaps with feeder service 807, helping to relieve high-demand sectors between Yishun station and Yishun Ring Road. Additionally, it provides a direct connection to the Thomson–East Coast Line at Springleaf station.

Originally looping at Yishun Ring Road, Service 860 was extended to loop at Yio Chu Kang on 15 October 2017, travelling via Yishun Avenue 2 instead, skipping Khatib station. Feeder service 807 and its short-trip variant were introduced to replace the lost connection. Subsequently, it was amended to start from Yio Chu Kang Interchange instead on 23 January 2022 to accommodate the introduction of the new feeder service 801.

This service 1 the st bus service introduced under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).

Buses departing Yio Chu Kang Interchange after 2238 hours terminate at Yishun Interchange instead of looping back. These trips are previously not indicated until the introduction of the “T” suffix (Terminating Trip 860T) in April 2021.
