Service 6 is an industrial route linking Pasir Ris Town Centre with Loyang Industrial Estate, while also serving residential estates along Pasir Ris Drive 3. In parallel with normal commuting patterns, much of its demand is encountered during the peak hours when workers commute between the Loyang Industrial Estate and transport nodes at Pasir Ris. As such, most buses operate on the split shift, which results in low frequencies during off-peak hours.

		2023	26 February	Temporarily amended to ply the bus-only corridor along Loyang Ave with the partial closure of Loyang Ave to facilitate the construction of Loyang Viaduct and Loyang MRT station on the Cross Island MRT Line, skipping a pair of bus stops after Pasir Ris Dr 3 and before New Loyang Lk along Loyang Ave.
