Go-Ahead Express Service 518A is a unidirectional peak hour variant of Express Service 518, bringing direct doorstep access from the residential areas of Pasir Ris to the central areas of Newton, Orchard and the Downtown Core. It offers a faster and more direct journey for Pasir Ris to the city compared to its parent route, plying via Tampines Expressway (TPE), Pan Island Expressway and Central Expressway (CTE), with a total journey time of just 30 minutes along the non-stop sector from Loyang Avenue to Moulmein Road by skipping the entire Tampines town.
