	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Please refer here for more information. From Sunday, 26 January 2025, two bus stops along Thomson Road will be merged and relocated to facilitate works for the North South Corridor. As a result, bus services 132 and 156 will call at the bus stop in front of Singapore Polo Club (51031) instead of bus stop after Mount Pleasant Road (51023). Please refer here for more information. From Sunday, 26 January 2025, the route of feeder service 230 will be extended to start and end at Toa Payoh Link (Caldecott station) to enhance connectivity for Toa Payoh East residents. Bus Service 68 serves as a residential trunk route connecting the estates of Pasir Ris West and Tampines North. It serves residential developments along Elias Rd, Pasir Ris St 71 and Tampines Concourse with enhanced connectivity to transport nodes at Pasir Ris and Tampines, and key amenities such as the Tampines Retail Park (Courts, Giant, IKEA), Our Tampines Hub, Tampines Mall, Tampines One and White Sands Shopping Mall. It was launched on 1 April 2018.

The service was slated to be launched in April 2017, but was later delayed to April 2018, likely as a result of new roads under construction in Tampines North Estate, such as Tampines Avenue 11 and Tampines Avenue 6 (Extension).

In tandem with the surrounding developments in the Tampines North Estate, 3 more pairs of bus stops were added in 2019 to serve the Build-to-order (BTO) flats of Tampines Greenview, Tampines Greenweave, Tampines Greenridges and Tampines Greenverge along Tampines Avenue 6.

Double-deck buses were deployed starting from 1 July 2019.

Short-Trip Service 68A operates on Weekdays (except Public Holidays), during the Morning Peak hours. It supplements the high demand for Bus Service 68 between Tampines Avenue 6, Tampines Concourse and Tampines Bus Interchange.

Short-Trip Service 68B operates on Weekdays (except Public Holidays), during the Evening Peak hours. It supplements the high demand for Bus Service 68 between Tampines Bus Interchange and Tampines Avenue 6 / Tampines Concourse.
