	From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Please refer here for more information. From Sunday, 26 January 2025, two bus stops along Thomson Road will be merged and relocated to facilitate works for the North South Corridor. As a result, bus services 132 and 156 will call at the bus stop in front of Singapore Polo Club (51031) instead of bus stop after Mount Pleasant Road (51023). Please refer here for more information. From Sunday, 26 January 2025, the route of feeder service 230 will be extended to start and end at Toa Payoh Link (Caldecott station) to enhance connectivity for Toa Payoh East residents. Service 17 is a residential route connecting Pasir Ris, Tampines and Bedok. It also serves housing blocks around Bedok North Road and industrial buildings around Bedok North Avenue 4 with connections to Bedok Town Centre. In Pasir Ris, this route compliments Feeder 358 for Pasir Ris Drive 4. It is the also the only route serving within Bedok Industrial Park.

Formerly a loop service operated by SBS Transit (looping at Bedok Int), buses would proceed to the boarding berth after alighting passengers, which eliminated rest time at Bedok and allowed buses to return to Pasir Ris more quickly. When operations of the route was transferred to Go-Ahead from 18 Sep 2016, Service 17 was re-designated as a bi-directional service.

Short-Trip Service 17A is a Short-Trip variant of Service 17, originally helping to ease high demand for its parent service between Bedok North Avenue 4 and Bedok Interchange. Formerly operating out of SBS Transit’s Bedok North Bus Depot and looping at Bedok Interchange during weekday morning & evening peak hours, it benefitted Service 17’s residential sectors around Bedok with higher service frequencies.
