SBS Transit Bus Service 186 is an inter-town service linking offices and entertainment facilities in Downtown Core, Havelock to the residential areas along Alexandra Road, Farrer Road and neighbourhoods in Whampoa. With its other terminating point set at Saint Michael's Terminal, this route forms a U-shape with a detour in the West before reaching the Central Business District (CBD).

This service sees a boost in demand during office working hours with deployments of Double Decker buses. In particular, it gives direct connections for office workers residing at Queenstown, Alexandra Road and Ganges Avenue, reaching offices in
