SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Changi Depot is the third train depot in Singapore. It maintains trains for the East–West Line. It will be replaced by the new East Coast Integrated Depot when completed in 2026.

On 18 May 2010, a Kawasaki Heavy Industries 151 train carriage was vandalised in the depot. Elaborate graffiti was drawn on the lower half of the carriage.[1]

A Swiss national, Oliver Fricker was charged with three charges of trespassing into the depot on the early hours of 17 May and vandalising the train by spraying paint and damaging public property by cutting a wired fence into property belonging to Land Transport Authority. Another British national has also been named as being involved in the case. However, his whereabouts are unknown.
