{{SBST/1| Bus Service 39}} is a inter-town service linking the residential estates of [[Tampines]], [[Pasir Ris]], [[Punggol]], and [[Yishun]]. Originally plying direct connection between Pasir Ris and Yishun via the [[Tampines Expressway|Tampines]] and [[Seletar Expressway|Seletar]] Expressways, this service was ammended to serve Punggol en-route in 2021.


First introduced on 17 August 2003, Service 39 initially provided a direct connection between Pasir Ris / Tampines and Yishun towns via the Tampines and Seletar Expressways. Intermediate stops were later added at Jalan Kayu and TPE (Punggol Road) to enhance connectivity.
During weekdays peak hours, Short-Trip 39A and Short-Trip 39B supplements the high demands between Pasir Ris West and Punggol.
 
The terminus was amended to Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange on 18 December 2016, a short walk away from the original Tampines Bus Interchange.
 
On 24 October 2021, Service 39 was amended to ply Punggol Central and Punggol Way, parallel to the upcoming {{CRL}} Punggol Extension.
 
{{SBST/1| Short-Trip Service 39A}} complements the peak hour demand of Bus Service 39 during morning & evening peak hours of Weekdays. It connects {{EW1| }} Station with residential estates in Pasir Ris West, Punggol as well as the bus transfer stop at Jalan Kayu (Aft Seletar Camp G).
